Pre Arrival

To secure a booking we will require you to provide a credit or debit card number to hold as security along with a non refundable deposit.

Your booking will be confirmed to you in writing either by email or post.

Your confirmation will include the address of the apartment you will be staying at and also the contact telephone number of the person who will be checking you into the apartment. We will require you to provide us with a contact telephone number and an approximate time of arrival.

Check in to the apartments is from 3 pm to 9 pm. Arrivals outside this time are by prior arrangement only.

The member of staff checking you in will be able to assist you with your luggage but if you have any specific requirements please do let us know prior to arrival.

Arrival

A member of staff will meet with you on arrival to check you in to your apartment, where this is not possible and by prior arrangement, specific instructions for the easy collection of keys and access will be provided ahead of arrival.

We recommend those guests arriving by car or taxi, park in the loading bays directly opposite the apartment entrance. You will need to cross the road with your luggage. Please note that this can be a busy road at times but a member of staff will be on hand to assist you. The main entrance to the building is level with no steps.

You will be provided with a welcome letter on your arrive detailing information relating to your apartment and also emergency contact telephone numbers.

Facilities to enable you to make yourself a drink on arrival will be provided.

Main Entrance And Access To Apartment Buildings

If accessing from the front door, there is a heavy metal door 37” wide, opened using a key fob located to the left-hand side of the door, this should be swiped across the control panel where a light will turn from red to green, releasing the lock, following which the door will need to be opened manually.

Lobby And Access To Apartments

There is a spacious lobby on the ground floor, where the lift is located (lift door 32” wide). All apartments are located on either the first or second floors, leading onto an open landing, which can also be accessed via an internal staircase.

Along with your fob to access the building you will be provided with a key to the apartment.

Car Parking Facilities

Where parking is available, you will be advised of your allocated parking space. The car park is located at the rear of the development, parts of which are sited within steeply sloping areas.

The vehicular gate is electronic and operated by a key fob, which should be swiped across the control panel where a light will turn from red to green before the gates automatically open.

As you turn into the car parking area the control panel is located on the right-hand side at window height.

For safety reasons the gates will not open if you park over the yellow lines in front of the gates

On leaving the car parking area the electronic gates will automatically open.

Please be advised to only park in your allocated space as parking enforcement is in operation.

Disabled parking spaces are available on the public highway to the left of the main vehicular access, from which the apartments can be more easily accessed from the front entrances.

Access From the Rear of the Building

Approach the rear of the building via the bottom right-hand side of the courtyard. There are eight steps and a handrail leading down from the courtyard, to a level patio area and one step to the door. The rear door is 32" Wide and is a fire door and is quite heavy. Open using a key fob located to the left-hand side of the door, this should be swiped across the control panel where a light will turn from red to green, releasing the lock, following which the door will need to be opened manually towards you. Please note this door is on a self closure and will automatically close behind you.

The Apartments

All apartments are decorated to a high standard and furnished in a modern, contemporary style. Furnishings within the lounge and dining areas vary, but generally all sofas, tables and chairs are of a standard height and size.

All doors within the apartments are 32” wide. The central hallways within each apartment are spacious, the minimum point of width within the hallway of each apartment ranges from 40” to 59”.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a WC (height 16”), basin (33”) and bath (height 24”). There is an electric shower over the bath. There is a moveable glass shower screen at one end of the bath. The on/off switch for the shower is located outside the bathroom in the hallway between the bathroom door and the hallway cupboard door.

Kitchen

The spacious, modern kitchens are fully equipped with sink unit, oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dish washer and washing machine.

Instruction manuals for each appliance are kept in a folder in the kitchen.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a WC (height 16”), basin (33”) and bath (height 24”). There is an electric shower over the bath. The on/off switch is located outside the bathroom door on the right hand side of the door. There is also a hand held mixture shower connected to the bath taps.

Kitchen

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with sink unit, oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dish washer and washing machine. Instruction manuals for each appliance are kept in a folder in the kitchen.

Heating and Hot Water

Each apartment has a gas central heating system operated by a combination boiler. There is an apartment temperature control located in the hallway and each radiator has its own temperature control valve. The control panel for the boiler is located in the kitchen on the wall next to the boiler.

Water and Electricity Isolation Points

The Fuse Board is located in the cupboard in the hallway.

The water isolation tap is located in the hallway outside the apartment which is marked.

Laundry And Housekeeping

The apartments are offered on a fully serviced or self-catering basis. For those guests who take the fully serviced option there will be a weekly clean of the apartment and a linen change. A daily maid service is available at an additional cost.

Communications

Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the apartment.

The televisions in the lounge area can be configured to show subtitles. Please refer to the instruction manuals.

Additional Information

There is a no smoking policy within the building and grounds; we do allow smoking on the balconies.

There is a no pets policy within the apartments, but assistance dogs are welcome.

Emergency Information

Please refer to the notice located on the ground floor for information relating to emergency evacuation of the building and meeting point.

Directions

By Bus

There is a frequent bus service stopping outside the Chevalier Inn at Fore Street. At the bus stop turn right, travelling a short distance down the hill and turn left onto Market Street, approximately 50 yards on the right-hand side is Augusta Court, within which the apartments are situated. Just a few minutes on foot.

From the Bus and Coach Station

There is a 24 hour taxi rank at the Bus and Coach Station. The journey will take approximately five minutes and will cost in the region of £5.00. If you prefer to walk it will take about 15 minutes.

On leaving the Bus and Coach Station, turn right into Paris Street and walk up the hill to the traffic lights.

At the traffic lights, turn left onto the High Street. Walk along the High Street until you reach the cross roads, continue walking down the hill and turn left onto Market Street, approximately 50 yards on the right-hand side is Augusta Court, within which the apartments are situated.

By Train

Exeter St Davids

We are located approximately 20 minutes walk from Exeter St Davids Railway Station.

On leaving the station, walk straight across the road. You will see a signpost directing you to the City Centre, follow this pathway which will take you to St Davids Hill.

At the top of the pathway turn right onto St Davids Hill and continue up the hill until you come to a mini roundabout. At the roundabout take the right hand road and continue along St Davids Hill, crossing over the Iron Bridge and up the hill to North Street. At the cross roads, turn right into Fore Street, cross the road at the Chevalier Inn, continue for a short distance down the road, turning left onto Market Street, approximately 50 yards on the right-hand side is Augusta Court, within which the apartments are situated.

Please Note: St Davids Hill and North Street are very steep and if you have difficulty walking, or have heavy bags to carry, you may prefer to take a taxi. There is a 24 hour taxi rank located at Exeter St Davids Railway Station. The journey will take approximately five minutes and cost in the region of £5.00

Exeter Central

We are located approximately 10 minutes level walk from Exeter Central Railway Station.

On leaving the station turn left into Queen Street, at the top of the road turn right at Marks & Spencer, continue down the High Street and at the cross roads go straight over and cross the road at the Chevalier Inn, continue for a short distance down the road, turning left onto Market Street, approximately 50 yards on the right-hand side is Augusta Court, within which the apartments are situated.

Please note: If you have heavy bags, you may prefer to take a taxi. The journey will cost approximately £3.00 and will take just a couple of minutes. Please note that there is not a designated taxi rank at the station, so you may have to book a taxi in advance of arrival.

From Exeter Airport

Augusta Court is an approximate 20 minute car journey from Exeter Airport, depending upon traffic. Please follow the directions from the A30 from the East as detailed below. If you take a taxi the cost will be in the region of £15.00

There is also a bus service that runs into Exeter. The service numbers are Service 56, 56A and Service 379. For further information and the times of the services please visit the bus operators website.

Alternatively, there is an airport TaxiBus Service which is at the airport based taxi company and operates a TaxiBus to Exeter St Davids Railway Station and the Coach Station on demand between the 56, 56A and 379 services. A minimum of three people are required for this service, the cost is approximately £5.00 per person. Taxi rates apply at other times.

From the M5

Leave the M5 at Junction 29, then merge onto unnamed road (signposted Honiton, Exeter).

At traffic lights turn right onto Honiton Road – B3183 (signposted Exeter).

Keep in the left hand lane, then at the traffic lights continue forward onto Honiton Road – A3015 and continue along the A3015 entering Exeter.

At Moor Lane roundabout, take the second exit onto Honiton Road – A3015 (signposted City Centre). Bear left at the traffic lights, turn right onto Sidmouth Road.

At the next set of traffic lights, continue forward onto Fore Street – B3183 (signposted RD&E Hospital and City Centre).

As the road forks, keep in the left hand lane and continue, keep left.

At the roundabout keep in the right-hand lane. At the traffic lights bear right, keeping in the left hand lane to the first set of traffic light, which lead straight ahead to South Street, rising in front of you.

The road bears left onto a one-way system at Market Street, follow this road and on the left-hand side you will see the front entrance to Augusta Court, turn immediately left after Augusta Court (before the traffic lights), take the first left into King Street and the next left again into Preston Street.

This brings you to the rear of Augusta Court, half way up the hill on the left you will see the black vehicular gates to the Augusta Court Car Park.

From A30 and A303 from the East (Honiton)

Follow the directions as detailed from the M5.

From A30 and A38 from the West (South Devon and Cornwall)

From the A30 at the Alphington Road Junction, branch left (signposted Exeter), then at the roundabout take first exit onto the A377 (signposted Exeter)

Bear left onto the A377. Continue along the A377 and at the Alphington Street roundabout, keep in the middle lane, proceed to City Centre, keep in the left-hand lane travelling along Western Way, as you approach the traffic lights at the top of the hill turn left into South Street rising in front of you.

The road bears left onto a one-way system, follow this road and on the left-hand side you will see the front entrance to Augusta Court, turn immediately left after Augusta Court (before the traffic lights), take the first left into King Street and the next left again into Preston Street.

This brings you to the rear of Augusta Court, half way up the hill on the left you will see the black vehicular gates to the Augusta Court Car Park.
